Sacha Baron Cohen: Sacha’s Oscar appearance aborted, over fears of controversy!

Need we scarcely say that all you folks would have been fairly abreast of the controversial and eccentrically funny ways, of popular Comedian Sacha ‘Borat’ Baron Cohen. Indeed, over his fairly eventful career in Showbiz and Entertainment, the popular yet outrageously eccentric Comedian, has not just inspired a heady buzz currency and an impressive fan base, with his popular screen avatars Ali –G, Borat Sagdiyev and Bruno, but has also spawned a fair few controversies with nasty spoofs and crazy stage antics.

And as per the latest reports, it would appear that, in the light of his reputation for generating controversies, the smart talking, thick-mustached Borat has reportedly been dropped from the impending Oscars.

On the evidence of the latest report, carried by NY Breaking News, it is learned that Sacha’s much anticipated on stage spoof act with popular ‘One Night at the Museum’ star Ben Stiller, at the Oscars, has reportedly been aborted, over fears of a controversy.

It is further learned that the eccentric English Comedian, was slated to feature in a spoof act of smash hit sci –fi epic ‘Avatar’, alongside ‘poker –faced’ funny man Ben Stiller, but the same has now been dropped, over concerns that it might offend director James Cameron.

It is further known that the Oscars ceremony producer Bill Mechanic has sought to articulate fears that the said spoof, where Baron was slated to feature as a Navi woman, who is pregnant with Cameron’s love child, might offend the director.

Sacha’s representative Matt Lebov was quoted as saying in a statement, “I hate to use the term because it’s so ubiquitous, but there were ‘creative differences’.  Nothing acrimonious, but both sides felt that since they couldn’t agree, he might as well remain in London.”

Cameron meanwhile, has sought to claim that he will harbor no grouse against any spoof of his sci –fi epic, which is up for nine honors at the Oscars, saying, “If they want to poke fun at Avatar Sunday, that’s OK by me. The Oscars are a celebration of movies… even the gaffes and out-of-bounds stuff is all part of the fun.” Well, suffice to say that with the ‘witty’ Borat not around, the Oscars will surely be robbed of some pure, unadulterated fun.
